I'm now officially fascinated by this guys.......

but I wonder why they're not considered "action figures"
(going by the standard that GI Joe was the first action figure)

Yeah, I have always thought the Hartland figures were way cool. I would love to have the Lone Ranger one!

I never heard of the Gunfighter series though, and those are freakin' awesome!

I think the reason they aren't consider action figures, is because they are really just plastic statues. The regular figures have no articulation, and the Gunfighter series just has arm movement.
